Atlanta Botanical Garden

With Orchid Daze, Atlanta Botanical Garden showcases the largest collection of orchids in the county, and is an amazing sight any time of year. Also during Atlanta Blooms!, hundreds of thousands of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses, and perennial bulbs are displayed throughout the park. Over several weekends in March and April, Atlanta Blooms! will display an array of spring colors, with a variety of visiting times.

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival celebrates the blooming of native dogwood trees. In addition to colorful trees and art, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival attracts thousands of people each year. During this free annual festival, Piedmont Park celebrates spring from April 13 through 15.

Gibbs Gardens

Thousands of golden yellow and creamy white daffodils fill a field carpeted with daffodils. In Gibbs Garden, a world-class garden center located just north of Atlanta, this is not a fairytale scene. Amidst the beautiful landscaping of Gibbs Gardens you'll find ponds, waterfalls, bridges, as well as hundreds of varieties of plants, flowers, and trees. Early in March is Daffodil ColorFest.

Goizueta Gardens at Atlanta History Center may not leap to the top of your mind when thinking of places to visit for spring color in the Atlanta area, however with 32 acres of gardens, trails and woodland areas, you can't miss its beauty. Swan House is also adorned with a beautiful lawn in the spring. The Olguitas Garden celebrates the life of Goizueta Gardens honoree Olga Olguita C. de Goizueta. With its rich color, fragrance, and texture, it blooms all year long.
The Carter Center

At The Carter Center, 35 acres of wooded land are dedicated to gardens. Rose varieties number more than 40 in the Rose Garden. Roses named after former president Jimmy Carter's wife, Rosalynn Carter, can be found in coral blooms in the garden. A stroll through formal gardens, waterfalls, a Japanese garden designed by Kinsaku Nakane, and a relaxing koi pond await you.
