ABOUT WOODRUFF PARK ATLANTA

An Atlanta park with a 6-acre area, Woodruff Park is tucked inside the Fairlie-Poplar district with nearby office towers and historical buildings. In addition to being one of the best starting points for exploring Downtown Atlanta and its surrounding neighborhoods, it's also a natural gathering place for a diverse cross-section of Atlantans and visitors.

Originally named Central City Park, Woodruff Park was donated in the 1970s by the former Coca-Cola Company president Robert W. Woodruff.

Through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the City of Atlanta, the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) maintains stewardship of Woodruff Park, securing and implementing funding for future development, and ensuring that the park is kept up and maintained daily. Visitors can enjoy a variety of recreation stations and amenities scattered throughout the park's beautifully manicured six acres.

The Woodruff Park hosts a wide range of events, festivals, and performances each year, including the following:

Contest & Pet Pageant at the Doggy Con

On the lawns of Woodruff Park, concert streams and movies

The Downtown Daffodil Project

Annual German Bierfest

There were installations and performances by Elevate Atlanta, gloATL, Dashboard, and others

Monthly bicycle rides with Mobile Social and Critical Mass

Each day, Park Attendants patrol the grounds with the Atlanta Police Department and Georgia State University Police force. Additionally, the Downtown Clean Team keeps the park clean and vibrant.
